Powder Coating at Your Local Park

admin • March 10, 2018

Powder coating is an oft misunderstood service that shows up all throughout the world around us. Wherever you are in your day-to-day life, there’s likely a variety of different objects that utilize the benefits of powder coating, whether you realize it or not. Your local park is no exception to this, and most man-made amenities at a park are powder coated to help protect against the constant usage and barrage from the elements…

Park Benches

Sometimes, there’s nothing more relaxing than sitting down at the park and enjoying the fresh outdoor air. That’s why most public parks are equipped with park benches throughout the area. However, these benches need to be able to stay the same and be durable throughout spring, summer, fall, and winter! Paint would easily start to chip in a short period of time. However, powder coating is able to withstand the changing elements, and is thick and durable enough so that a park bench is going to be the same quality over many years.

Playground Equipment

Most parks have a playground for kids to come and enjoy. Whether these playgrounds include slides, swing sets, jungle gyms, or any other variety of fun contraption for kids, you can be sure that powder coating is being used to keep it safe and fun. An effective powder coat is able to withstand the constant wear and tear that children put on a playground when they are climbing, jumping, and running on top of it. In addition, the bright colors of a powder coat make the playground even more appealing to kids.

Picnic Tables

On a nice summer day, there’s few things that are as relaxing and fun as gathering the family together for a lovely picnic at the park. While you can bring a blanket and sit on the grass, many parks nowadays are equipped with picnic tables that make it convenient for family gatherings. These picnic tables, today, are usually powder coated to make them durable and easy to clean, so that families don’t mind eating a meal on them.
